Batman vs Superman release date pushed back
The release date for the highly anticipated sequel to Batman’s Man of Steel has been pushed back nearly one year. Originally slated for a July 17, 2015 release date, Batman vs Superman is now scheduled to be released May 6, 2016. Representatives for the studio said that the delay is to give “filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.” Upset over the delay, fans were blaming Ben Affleck, who is playing Batman in the film, and his alleged broken leg, for the extra time. Those rumors were squashed and comicbookmovie.com reports that the film delay is over budget concerns. According to the website, filmmakers are debating whether or not to include Wonder Woman’s home of Paradise Island in the film, which would require many special effects.
