Early screening of ‘Man of Steel’ gets rave reviews
Warner Bros. held a special early screening of Man of Steel for executives and their families. It got rave reviews and the reactions were ‘overwhelmingly positive.’ A “100% trusted source” from JoBlo.com who caught the advance screening gave it quite the praise:
– Imagine a Nolan story with Snyder effects/action.
– It’s the best movie of the year.
– There’s TONS of action with Superman kicking all kinds of ass in his suit.
– The cape is CG’d most of the time so it can look awesome.
– They have intentionally left out most of the Super action in trailers to save it.
– It’s not nearly as dour and serious as the trailers suggest.
– The movie is complete, minus the 3D post-conversion, which is currently taking place
Though some say it’s the “best film of the year,” it’s really too early to make such claims. Set to release in June, Man of Steel is definitely generating early buzz. Rumors are circulating that David Goyer, who previously worked on the Dark Knight trilogy and also wrote the screenplay for Man of Steel, is writing the script for a sequel. Warner Bros. has plans for a Justice League movie but it apparently rides on the reviews of Man of Steel. Since it already looks like a two thumbs up, a Man of Steel trilogy is set to come out first before the DC team arrives on screen, pushing back the Justice League release date to 2021.
Directed by Zack Snyder (300), produced by Christopher Nolan with an impressive cast, the hype of Man of Steel will surely continue. The next trailer (due in April) is expected to show a bit more action to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.
