Warner Bros. has released the first photo of Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, via USA Today. The photo is a dramatic shot of Superman standing in the rain, looking pensive. The director of the film, Zack Snyder, told the paper that that the addition of characters such as Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will make the movie “thicker, denser and more epic” than Cavill’s first Superman movie, Man of Steel.
The new movie, which is also a lead in to Snyder’s next epic superhero film, Justice League, will feature Clark Kent working alongside Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) again, but it will also find Superman travelling to Batman’s hometown, Gotham City, where he’ll encounter threats such as Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
