Total Film Magazine unveils Man of Steel cover
Total Film Magazine has released a look of the cover of their latest issue. The issue explores the 100 greatest screen heroes and villains, so it’s quite fitting that the most iconic superhero of all is featured on the cover – Superman. Henry Cavill and Amy Adams star as Clark Kent and Lois Lane in Zack Snyder‘s highly-anticipated Superman reboot Man of Steel.
Cavill shares how he got inspiration for his role from previous movies as well as piecing Superman’s character from his comic book history. The decision of casting Amy Adams as Lois Lane comes to a surprise to some because Adams, who is known for her ‘sweet and nice’ persona in movies such as Enchanted and The Muppets, is far from the Lois Lane we know. Her Oscar-nominated performance in The Master, however, showed that she was able to break out of that ‘sweetness’ so it will be interesting to see her take on Lois Lane. Snyder has apparently put a spin on Jimmy Olsen’s character, the photojournalist for The Daily Planet. He is rumored to be replaced by a female named Jenny Olsen (played by Rebecca Fuller).
Man of Steel also has a lengthy line-up of Hollywood stars that are set to appear in the film. Russell Crowe stars as Jor-El, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Kevin Costner and Diane Lane play Jonathan and Martha Kent.
Man of Steel is set to release on June 14, 2013.
